Orville James Rule, 78, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at his residence.
Orville was born November 24, 1928 in Lawrence, the son of Tom and Irene (Corbin) Rule.
He worked as a crane operator at a sand plant in Lawrence and operated Rule's Blacksmith and Welding in Overbrook and Topeka since 1971, and recently retired due to health reasons.
He married Shirley Juanita Muse on October 9, 1954. She died March 4, 2002. Survivors include sons, Orville "Jim" Rule, David Rule, Steve Rule, all of Topeka; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacque Lynne.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Blakely Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 4020 SW 6th, Topeka, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Friday.
