Patricia A. Palmer, 72, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at a Topeka hospital. She was born September 4, 1943 in West Allis, Wisconsin, the daughter of Eric and Shirley (Mathis) William.
Patricia was employed by the Brunswick Corporation for 10 years. She later was a Navy Recruiter for over 20 years before retiring in 2000.
Patricia was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post No. 400 Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler.
Patricia married Herb M. Palmer on March 4, 1996 in Denver, Colorado. He survives. Other survivors include children, Gideon C. (Jeannette) Woodcook, Jr., Sterly P. Woodcook, Winifred A. (Marlan) Freelove, Bob (Vickie) Palmer, Carolyn (Keith) Dunn and Charles (Annette) Palmer, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Iver.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
