Patricia Blanchett

Patricia Carol "Pat" Blanchett, age 56, Topeka went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 13, 2010, after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Pat was born January 17, 1954 in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel T. Masters Sr. and Mary F. (Manning) Masters.
Pat graduated from Seaman High School in 1972. Later in life she graduated from Topeka Technical College in 1998. She worked for Luce Press Clippings for 15 years, and Topeka Allergy and Asthma Clinic for the last 12 years.
Pat was married to her soul mate Richard Anthony Blanchett Sr. on November 23, 1973.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Richard Anthony Blanchett Sr., son Richard Anthony Blanchett II, and her father Daniel T. Masters Sr.
Pat is survived by her mother, Mary Hood, and stepfather, Leslie Hood of Scranton, KS; son Joseph Marvin Blanchett; daughter-in-law Stacy Blanchett; and 3 grandchildren Dylan, Dakota, and Shelbie Blanchett of Topeka. Pat had 2 brothers, Daniel T. Masters Jr. of Topeka, and John Paul Masters of Burlingame, KS. Pat also had 4 sisters, Nancy McGoyne and Virigina Degan of Topeka, Debbie Cannon of Fountain, CO, and Mary Ann Thompson of Cottonwood Falls, KS; stepbrother Arthur Hood of Scranton, KS, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, plus her loving companions Pumpkin and Maynard.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service. Inurnment will be at Rochester Cemetery.
