Patricia Chappell

Patricia A. Chappell passed away Nov. 3, 2013. Pat was born Sept. 6, 1924 in Topeka, Kansas to Thomas C. Moore and Inez Horner Moore. Pat was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1942. She attended Lindenwood College and Washburn University. She was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority at Washburn.
In 1953 she married Clifford Chappell who preceded her in death in 2007. Pat was a lover of animals and adopted many. She served as a dedicated member of the American Legion Auxiliary as well as a special program for the benefit of veterans at what was known as Winter Veterans Hospital.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Schnacke of Overland Park, KS; her nephew Jerry Schnacke (Kristine) and great niece, Lia of Hinsdale, IL; and her niece, Judy Hodes (Phil) of Overland Park, KS.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to Marsha Holt for the many years of devotion and dedication to Pat. May she rest in peace.
