Patricia Faith Smith

Patricia Faith Smith, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born March 13, 1931 in Sulphur, OK, the daughter of David and Erma Blakeman.
Patricia had resided in Topeka since 1967. She was employed by General Merchandise Distributors and Richman Gordman for many years. She attended Highland Park Baptist Church and sang in the church choir.
Patricia married Edward R. Smith in August, 1954. He survives. Other survivors include three children, Larry D. (Donna) Langston, Deborah K. Smith, Cindy A. (Keith) Bleakley, eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and her nephew, Guy (Chris) Sapp.
Patricia was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne Whitmer, one granddaughter, Sarah Autry Jacob, her son-in-law, Jeff North and her siblings, John Blakeman and Janie Evelyn Sapp.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Highland Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Patricia will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
