Patricia A. Sandmeyer, 68, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021.
She was born July 30, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Richard W. Ward, Jr. and Nellie Marie (Milbrandt) Bradley.
She graduated from Highland Park High School and later went on to attend Washburn University.
Patty was employed by the State of Kansas for 40 years prior to retiring in 2009.
She was a member of the Extension Master Gardeners Club in Shawnee County.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa (Brian) Miller of Topeka; her life partner, John Aureli of Topeka; her grandchildren, Reegan Miller of Oklahoma City, OK, and Aubrey Miller of Topeka; her sisters, Charlene (Dennis) Seiter of Frederick Town, MO and Laurie (Shannon) McCollum of Topeka and a brother, Kenty (Carolyn) Spicka of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by parents.
Patty enjoy landscaping, flower design and crafting and most of all spending time with her family.
Honoring Patty's request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at later date. Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610 is assisting the family.
