Patsy A Mcdonald

Patsy A. McDonald, 82 of Topeka, KS passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka.

She was born October 8, 1932, in Atlanta, NE, daughter of G.L, and Mazie Henline. She married Joseph N. McDonald in 1951. They were married 53 years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Patsy is survived by four children; Jeff and wife Nancy, Salina, James and wife Lori, Belleville, Cathy Strosnider and husband Preston, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kelli McKenzie and husband Jon, Topeka. She is also survived by her brother Royce Henline; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Patsy graduated from the Chillicothe Business College. She worked most of her career with the County Clerk's office, as Deputy County Clerk in Republic County and as Shawnee County Clerk for 14 years.

She was active in the Republican Party, and served on numerous boards and charitable organizations in the area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Patsy enjoyed life; she was an avid KSU Wildcat fan, loved cooking, golf, painting, entertaining, and most of all, her beloved family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her sister Joyce, and Jim Ingram whom she married in 2006.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Inurnment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Grace Hospice, or The Alzheimer's Association.
