Patsy Johnson

Patsy Ann Johnson, 67, Topeka, sunset Jan. 9, 2009, sunrise, May 27, 1941, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Sims and Nina (Ridge) Johnson.

Patsy attended Topeka Public Schools. She was married to Charles Wright for 30 years. He preceded her in death.

Patsy worked as a lead cook for Eventide Convalescent Center. Her hobbies included word puzzles, basketball and football.

Survivors include one brother, Harold Johnson; sister, Debbie Hailey; nieces, Renee Collins, Rochelle and Terrie Baylor; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bobby, Sims Jr., Raymond and two sisters, Jeanette Baylor and Lucille Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Fri. at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Patsy will lie in-state after 2 p.m. tomorrow, with visiting hours from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
