Paul Francis Dultmeier

Paul Frances Dultmeier passed peacefully with his family by his side December 1, 2020. He was born January 29, 1928 in Baileyville, KS to parents August Dultmeier & Rose Broxterman. His family eventually moved to Seneca Ks where he finished school at St. Peter & Paul Catholic school.

He later met the love of his life, Opal Troxel and wed 9-19-1950. They recently celebrated 70 yrs of marriage, Opal survives.

Paul was drafted into the Korean War and served in the 45th Infantry Battalion as Sergeant from 1950 - 1952, among awards he received the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars and was honorably discharged.

He was nothing short of determined and started his career as a contractor one house at a time in the Topeka area. For over 30+ years, he built numerous homes in the Topeka and Silver Lake area with his brothers Maurice, Leon, Ron, August Jr; and brother-in-law Dale.

Always active in his final yrs, he was happiest with a project to work on. You might have seen him driving a military vehicle with the Rolling Thunder veterans group or driving his 59 pink Cadillac in a parade or parked at a car show.

Along with his wife, he leaves to celebrate his life, two children, Sandra Dultmeier and Mark Dultmeier; his grandchildren, Derek Dultmeier, Mariah Dultmeier, Makayla Dultmeier, Noah Dultmeier; plus five great grandchildren, all of Topeka; along with many brothers and sisters and extended family.

Paul was his own person, molded from a depression era and self taught with a very keen sense for business. He was strong willed, did not know a stranger and had a soft spot for dogs. His legacy will always be his love for his family which he received and gave ten fold. It is an unfathomable farewell, so until we meet again......

There will be a private burial by the family.
