Paul James "Smitty" Smith, 78, Topeka, passed away November 21, 2013. He was born June 21, 1935, in Topeka, the son of James and Etta Smith.
Smitty was a 1953 graduate of Highland Park High School in Topeka. He retired after many years in the printing industry, having worked for Halls and Mainline. Smitty was an avid hunter, fisherman, and sportsman.
Survivors include wife, Donna Smith; daughters, Michelle Self-Loveland and Paige Smith; grandchildren, Mia Brantley, Jenna Brantley, Audri Brantley, Steven Stewart, Monica Wilcox, Ashley Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, and Cameron Quintanilla; great-grandchildren, Malayah Demby, Jaxon Terkelson; sister, Greeta McDaniel; nieces, Angela and Barbara McDaniel, and Judy Nottestad; and nephew, James McDaniel. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sheleene Vawter; and five siblings.
Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service. Inurnment will be in Keene Cemetery at a later date.
