Paul F. Lentz, 51, of Lyndon, KS, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 29, 1957 in Omaha, NE, the son of Paul F. Lentz and Donna Belle (Barnhouse) Lentz.
Paul married Trisha Tracy on September 14, 1990 in Omaha, NE. She survives. He is also survived by his son, Paul Dean Bly of Topeka, his daughter, Dawna Rae Lentz of Seattle, WA, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul was born and raised in Omaha, NE. He served in the U.S. Navy. Paul worked for Modern Home Sales of Topeka, and KAN-Build of Osage City. He was a rugged humorist and an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and wildlife. He was a member of Black Gold Chapter 794, of Pheasants Forever.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Dove Funeral Home, 4020 SW Sixth Street, Topeka, KS. He will lie in-state from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM that evening. Internment will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Great Bend, KS.
