Dr. Peter Charles Schram, 82, of Topeka, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022.
He was born November 27, 1939, in London, Ontario, Canada, the son of John F. and Cecelia L. (May) Schram.
Peter graduated from Denby High School in Detroit, MI in 1958 and furthered his education graduating from Wayne State University College of Engineering in 1962 and from the School of Medicine in 1969.
Peter practiced Psychiatry in Topeka from 1973 to 2001.
Dr. Schram was a member of Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church of Topeka.
Peter married Gwendolyn Kay Smith on March 23, 1963 in Dearborn, MI.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Schram of Topeka; his son, Charlie (Lynn) Schram of Topeka; his daughter, Heidi (Corey) Schram-Bishop of Ft. Worth, TX; his granddaughters, Taylor (Joey) Costello of Tulsa, OK, Emma Schram-Bishop of Lawrence and Hunter Schram of Topeka; a great granddaughter, Lucy Costello of Tulsa; his siblings, Norman Schram of Leawood, KS and Robert (Cheryl) Schram and Linda Schram both of London, Ontario, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant great-granddaughter, Lily Reagan Costello.
Peter enjoyed the water and boating.
Honoring Peter's request, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, 7433 SW 29th St., Topeka, KS 66614.
