Philip C. Hoffman, 66, of Topeka, formerly of Polo, Missouri, passed away February 17, 2011, at his home. He was born May 17, 1944 in Wathena, Kansas, to Ernest and Lucille (Parker) Hoffman who both preceded him in death.
He attended Wathena Grade School in Wathena, Kansas, and Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. Phil retired from AT&T in 1997.
Phil was preceded in death by his wife Donna (Penland) Hoffman and brothers, Ernest Hoffman, Jr. and Milton Hoffman. He is survived by two sisters, Virginia Skinner of Topeka, Kansas, and Carolyn Gormley of Westminster, Colorado, his stepson, Mark McNeel, of Blue Springs, Missouri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was previously married to Linda Benitz and Sharon Nipps.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Ashland cemetery at St. Joseph, Missouri, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00AM.
