Phyllis Ann Bowers, 80, of Silver Lake passed away on February 12, 2018. Born July 24, 1937, in Topeka, she was the daughter of Glenn Rath and Virginia Lewis.
She was a graduate of Oskaloosa High School.
Phyllis married Robert Bowers on July 7, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2005.
She loved to attend her kids and grandkids various sporting events, spending time with her coffee club, the Kansas Jayhawks and going to the casino.
Phyllis was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Journey Marston, two brothers; Steve Rath and Gary Rath. She is survived by three sons; Brad (Debbie) Bowers, Bobby (Julie) Bowers and Brent (Heidi) Bowers, seven grandchildren; Jerry, Angie, Matthew, Megan, Hunter, Dylan, and Trevor, eleven great-grandchildren; Kelsey, Michael, Jordon, Casey, Brennen, Jesse, Colten, Abel, MaKenna, Carter and Bristol, and a sister Joy Boyd.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Silver Lake, 3439 NW Hoch Road, Silver Lake, KS 66539. The family will great friends one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will take place at Silver Lake Cemetery at a later date.
