R. René Guerrero, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at a Topeka hospital. He was born September 20, 1954 in Topeka, the son of Raymond and Ruth Guerrero.

René graduated from Highland Park High School in 1972. He was employed by FedEx Express for 32 years.

René married Marianne "Mari" on May 8, 1982 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include children; Christina Taylor of Topeka, Ramon Guerrero of Topeka, Erik Guerrero of Topeka, five grandchildren; Lia, Raquel, Liam, Brinley and Zoe, and his father, Raymond Guerrero of Topeka, and his siblings; Jeff (Patty) Guerrero of Topeka, Jay Guerrero of Topeka, Rayleen (Ivan) Perez of Topeka.

René was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Guerrero and his brother, Raphael Guerrero.

A Celebration of René's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. To honor René, the family requests that attendees feel free to dress casual and wear their KU, Chiefs or Royals attire. Following the service, the family will greet friends and family for a luncheon from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Marlo Cuevas-Balandran Activity Center, 224 NE Branner St., Topeka, Kansas 66616. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
