R. Joyce Lindeman

R. Joyce Lindeman, 80, of Meriden, passed away February 24, 2017. She was born July 11, 1936 to Harry and Hazel (Kolb) Furst. She attended schools in Overbrook, Mission Valley and Williamstown. She worked for Fleming Foods for several years and retired from Furr's Cafeteria in Topeka.

Joyce married William Lindeman on March 1, 1986 at the Grantville United Methodist Church. She liked to read, work crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She had a green thumb with house plants.

Joyce is survived by her husband Bill; her daughter, Debbie Starnes of Topeka; her son Bob Griffin of Emporia; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Dixie Palmer, her son Russell Griffin and her sister Emma Samek.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10AM to Noon at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice.
