Ralph LeRoy Taylor passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the age of 67. He was born March 15, 1943 in Topeka to Gleda Lenore Kendall and Virgil Taylor of Vallely Falls.
Mr. Taylor graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1963. On April 10, 1964, he married Marilyn Diane Priddy at the North Topeka Baptist Church; they resided in Topeka. In 1969 he served with the United States Army in Vietnam. During his service, he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
He worked as a pressman for various companies in Topeka and later worked for the Kansas Army national Guard as a gunsmith. He retired in 1992. Hobbies that he enjoyed include flying, hunting, gardening, reading and working in his shop.
Ralph is survived by his wife Diane Taylor of the home, son, Jim Taylor of Meriden, Kansas, daughter, Julie Hubbell of Topeka and 3 granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his mother Gleda Lenore Kendall and stepfather Warren Meyer, both of Valley Falls, Kansas.
A private memorial service will be held at Rock Creek Bible Church in Meriden, Kansas on Friday, October 29, 2010.
