Randall R. "Randy" Arnold, 47, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
Randy was born on October 21, 1964 in Topeka, KS, the son of Jim and Janice (Kietzman) Arnold. Randy graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1983 and Kansas State University in 1988 with a degree in Business Administration. He worked at the Topeka Public Library during high school and while attending K-State. Upon graduating college, he was employed by the State of Kansas and worked for the Department of Revenue. He was later employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe through Adecco Services. Growing up, Randy loved watching monster movies, catching snakes, riding motorcycles, weightlifting, and running. He was a member of the Dawn to Dusk Disc Golf club for many years and enjoyed playing disc golf whenever he could, traveling to tournaments with his brother and friends. He was an avid reader and movie lover and enjoyed working on his 1969 Chevy truck that he had restored over the years.
Randy is survived by his parents and brother, Ryan W. Arnold, niece, Parker, and nephew, Jack. He is also survived by his Uncles, Larry Kietzman and John Arnold, as well as grandparents James and Virginia Arnold. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Doris Kietzman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Cremation will follow services, and private inurnment will take place in Bethel Cemetery southeast of Topeka at a later date.
