Randall D. "Randy" Piper, 62, Carbondale, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020.
Randy was born April 26, 1958 in Topeka, the son of Russell and Margarette (Shepard) Piper. He graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1976 and attended Emporia State University.
He was a union carpenter, and member of Carpenters Local #1445, retiring in 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman. Recently he had spent most of his time in his home woodworking shop. He loved all kinds of sports and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, Ross (Elizabeth) Piper, Topeka, Adam Piper, Carbondale; grandchildren, Dylan, Grady and Waylon; siblings, Daniel Piper, Scranton; Elizabeth (Chris) Needham, Wakarusa; nieces, Madison, Katie and Josie; and mother, Margarette Piper, Carbondale. He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Inurnment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Carbondale Cemetery.
