Raymond L. Nolan, 85, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. He was born on May 2, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the son of Patrick and Lucille Curley Nolan. He obtained a degree in education from St. Bonaventure. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Raymond married Dorothy L. Moews on August 30, 1984 in Springfield, IL. She survives. Other survivors include three step-children; Richard Moews, Robert Moews and Roberta Muckenthaler, his siblings; Bernadet Marth and John Nolan of Chicago, IL and Mary Krug of Denver, CO. Raymond was preceded in death by one step-daughter; Angela Potter and one sister; Patricia Thomasson.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, KS, 66506. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
