Raymond Mccammon

Raymond McCammon, 94, Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007. He was born September 14, 1912 the son of Margaret and Charles McCammon in Mankato KS. Mr. McCammon worked at an aircraft factory in California and later moved to Kansas City where he worked for North American Aircraft Company. He married Pearl McWhinney in Kansas City in 1945 and the couple moved to Tecumseh in 1948. He farmed for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Pearl; two sons, Larry and his wife Sharrai of Tecumseh, and Tom of San Diego, CA. Raymond is also survived by a grandson, Brian and wife Miranda, and twin great-granddaughters, Crystal and Julia. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26. 2007. Mr. McCammon will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, April 25 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where friends may call. No family visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 334 SE Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh KS 66542.
