Rebecca A. O'Bleness, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. She was born September 24, 1953 in Hiawatha, the daughter of Billy W. and Louise (Leffert) Wilson.
Rebecca graduated from Hiawatha High School and Newman School of Nursing in Emporia. She was employed by Memorial Hospital and retired in 2016 from the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center after 28 years of service.
Survivors include one son, Ryan C. (Tonia) Shirk of Wichita, four grandchildren, Tanner, Carlee, Reanne Shirk and Addison O'Bleness and her siblings, Cindy Wilson Seitz of Topeka and Vici Eis of Reserve.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Spencer Michael O'Bleness.
As per Rebecca's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment service will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 13067, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
