Reginald L. Ridley, 60, of Topeka, was called Home on Friday, January 3, 2025 after a long battle of illness. He was born May 24, 1964 in Topeka, the son of Lewis S. Woods and Olivia L. Ridley.
Reginald graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Washburn University and earned an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Bryan Career College. He was employed by the State of Kansas for over twenty years as a mail carrier
Reginald was a member of College Avenue Seventh Day Adventist Church and was passionate about Cadillac’s. His favorite professional football team was the New England Patriots.
Reginald was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Woods, his step-father, Willie L. Burden, his uncle, Dennis Woods, and his sister, Shelia L. Faison all of Topeka.
Survivors include his mother, Olivia L. Burden of Topeka, his brother, Anthony L. Burden of Georgia, his brother-in-law, Edward R. Faison, Jr. of Topeka, his nephews, Edward T. Faison, III of Topeka, Josiah E. Faison, IV of Topeka, and his niece, Asha J. (Adam) Branion of Independence, Missouri, his great-nieces, Rhema and Royal Branion, his God-Son, Terrell Terry of Topeka and a host of friends and extended family throughout his lifetime.
A Celebration of Reginald’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
