Reinhard J. Kissner

Reinhard J. Kissner, 81, of Topeka, formerly of Circleville, Kansas passed away August 30, 2017. He was born to Willy and Ida (Potthoff) Kissner at Schloss Holte, Germany on July 24, 1936. Reinhard grew up in Germany and became an apprentice for a butcher at the age of 14.

He moved to America in 1971. He was employed as a chef and master sausage maker. He also enjoyed cooking as a hobby along with gardening and flowers, raising animals and bird watching.

Reinhard is survived by his children: Erika Meyer, Regina Duerr and Kellie Miles; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his brothers: Hans Kissner and Willie Kissner; and his sister, Marlene Meier. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Kissner, his mother Ida Kissner and his father Willy Kissner.

A memorial service will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service on September 8, 2017 at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM prior to the service.
