Rene Foliot

Rene L. Foliot, 91, Topeka, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at Homestead Assisted Living in Auburn, Kansas. He was born in Mably, France on Nov. 14, 1918, the son of Claude and Clotide (Galichon) Foliot. Rene married Raymonde Lathuilliere on Sept. 27, 1947. They had one child, a daughter, Josette Foliot Duncan who passed away on June 18, 2010.

Rene served in the French Army during WWII. He was a POW. Before retiring he worked as a manufacturing engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Raymonde; granddaughter, Darlene Duncan (David Campbell); grandsons, Jeffrey (Leslie) Duncan, Claude (Rosalie) Duncan; great-granddaughter, Rachel Thornburgh; great-great granddaughter, Carmen Alston; and son-in-law, Gary Duncan, all of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his daughter, parents, his brother, Jean and his sister, Georgette.

A private family service is planned.
