Renee D. Watts, 59, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born September 16, 1963 in Oceanside, California, the daughter of Floyd H.D. and Roxie Ann (Harris) Watts, Sr.
Renee graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1981. She was employed by the Topeka Correctional Facility for 34 years before retiring where she was a member of the Special Operations Response Team.
Survivors include her parents, Floyd and Roxie Watts of Topeka, her siblings, David Watts of Topeka, Lonnie Watts of Topeka, Floyd Watts, Jr. of Topeka, and her two nieces, Kelsea and Erin and one nephew, Eric. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Lucy.
A Celebration of Renee's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 S.W. 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
Renee's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
