Richard A. Hodges
January 2, 1958 — December 3, 2015
Richard A. Hodges, 57, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born January 2, 1958 in Topeka, KS, the son of Melvin L. and Becky J. Hockett Hodges.
Richard attended Topeka High School and was employed as a Draftsman for the Shawnee County Appraiser's Office after being injured in a motorcycle accident in 1976.
Survivors include his son, Richard Ippolito of Topeka, three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Tyler and Jordan, his parents, Melvin L. and Becky J. Hodges of Topeka and two brothers, Robert W. Hodges of Topeka and Melvin L.(Cindy Jarosz) Hodges, Jr. of Gretna, NE and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Hodges on November 24, 2002.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
