Richard "Dick" Clark died peacefully in his sleep on April 10 in Manhattan, KS at the age of 60.

He is survived by his wife, Denise "Nesey" Clark; children: Bryan "Reece" Clark (Katelyn) and Richard "Colton" Clark; siblings: Karen Smith (Jim) of Giltner, NE, Lana Urban (Carl) of Kurtistown, HI; his uncle Ron Clark (Jean) of Kalispell, MT; and his aunts: Mildred Burger of Marysville, KS and Vida Mae Schell of Marysville, KS; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Brian Clark.

Dick was born on April 10, 1956 in Marysville, KS to E. Jean and Betty (Schell) Clark. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science. As a life-long resident of Manhattan, KS, Dick followed in his father's footsteps with Farm Bureau, and then went independent for many years with Langton Insurance. He married Denise Clark, his best friend, in 1998. Together, they founded Konza Lab Connection in 1999. He will be remembered as an amazing individual who never met a stranger, and could always make you feel like he had known you forever. He was a great friend and deeply loved by all who met him.

Dick was a generous and fun-loving individual, who loved aviation, and who was passionate about wildlife conservation, his family, and hunting. He loved sharing all of his interests with his friends and family. He was an active and dedicated member of the Kansas State Alumni and Flint Hill Flyers, and also dedicated his time to substituting at his alma mater, Manhattan High School, in the Science department.

A graveside service is scheduled at 10AM, Saturday June 4, 2016 at Sunrise Cemetery with a celebration-of-life to follow. Details will be announced at a later date. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dick's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Richard "Dick" Clark memorial at UMB Bank at 2700 Anderson Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502. The family would like to thank the Riley County First Responders and Riley County Police Department.
