Richard T. Cobb, 72, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. He was born January 5, 1951 in Jackson County, Missouri, the son of Elmer T. and Dorothy M. (Cameron) Cobb.
Richard graduated from Topeka High School. He was employed by Payless Shoe Source for over 20 years before retiring. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Richard married Connie Lester on October 17, 1981. They later divorced.
Survivors include four children, Melissa (Keith) Chestnut of Topeka, Dustin (Tammy) Chestnut of Topeka, Rebecca (Shawn) Cobb of Topeka, Danielle (Damian) Williams of Topeka, fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his siblings, Wayne, Walt, Kathy and Jimmy.
Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Rose Elder, Clyde Cobb and Michael Cobb.
Graveside inurnment will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
