Richard J. "R.J."Brost, 69, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born February 11, 1945 in Topeka, the son of Carl and Loreda Deeringer Brost.
R.J. graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. He was employed by Stauffer Publishing Company.
R.J. married Roberta Terhune. They later divorced. Survivors include two sons, Carlton R. Brost, James D. Brost, two grandchildren, Lili and Layla and one sister, Kathryn Brost. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Brost.

Cremation has taken place and as per R.J.'s request, no memorial services are planned. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
