Richard Keith Lindsay Sr., 66, a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2017, in the comfort of his home after the courageous battle of lung cancer.
Richard was born to the late Wilbur and Pauline (Berberich) Lindsay on April 7, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from Hayden High School class of 1969, and earned the awards of Football All-American and All-City. After graduation, Richard went to Fort Scott Community College, where he studied architecture. During his studies, he married his lovely wife, Becky Sipes, on August 5, 1972. He worked for the State of Kansas Division of Printing for over 25 years, until he medically retired on October 1, 2015.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Shaunna (Martin), Richard Jr., and Courtney; grandchildren, Tayari, Jaziah, and Bodie; dog, Molly; brothers, Larry (Sue) Snepp, Gary (Del), and Steve (Melinda); and many nieces and nephews, all of Topeka, Kansas.
Please join his family in the celebration of his life on Sunday, August 20, 2017, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at The Rowhouse courtyard (located in the back of the restaurant), 515 SW Van Buren Street, Topeka, Kansas 66603. The family suggests guests wear their favorite sports attire.
