Richard Carl Larson

Richard Carl Larson, 77, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 in his home.

He was born June 9, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Ed and Kay (Davis) Larson. He graduated from Osage High School. He served in the Army Reserves.

Richard was a coach to young men in baseball and in life.

Richard married Merilee Thompson on January 18, 1970, in Lawrence, Kansas. They shared over 54 years together before her passing on November 22, 2024. He also was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include son, Kelly (Sherry) Larson and his sisters, Sandy Rowe and Sharon Faldine.

Richard enjoyed wood working and coaching high school baseball.

Richard’s wishes were for cremation. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Kelly's residence, 5740 SW Woodbridge Drive, Topeka, KS.

Interment of the cremated remains will be at Ivy Cemetery in Admire, Kansas.
