Richard W. Lawton, III, 72, of Topeka, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born December 31, 1949 in Topeka, the son of Richard W. and Zella (Smith) Lawton, II.
Richard was employed by Cardinal Cleaning Company. He enjoyed music and playing the drums in several bands. He loved working on electronics and eating at Burger King and McDonald's. He also enjoyed his bacon.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, children Jason, Janeice, Johnathon and Jeanita, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and his two sisters, Sonja and Chalyce.
Richard was preceded in death by one son, Onzie and two sisters, Desiree and Cheryl.
A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
