Richard W. Brown, Jr., 57, of Topeka, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
He was born November 7, 1954 in Topeka, the son of Richard W. and Roxie (Brown) Brown, Sr.
Survivors include two children, Jamilah McKnight and Jobu Thomas, both of Topeka, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his mother, Roxie Ann Brown of Topeka, his siblings, Van Richard Brown, Glenn Wardell Brown, Debra Kay Brown Taylor, Esther Marie Brown Luark, Cardell Brown Washington, John Verland Brown Bronson, Detrick Goles Brown, step-sisters, Niecie Johnson of Topeka, Nikki Wood of Kansas City, a host of other step-siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 9 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
