Richard J. "Dick" Warrington, 75, of Topeka, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022.
He was born September 20, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Earl and Hazel (Tarras) Warrington.
Dick was employed by the Shawnee County Sheriff's Department, taking over their Crime Scene Investigation Unit in 1978 until his retirement in 1996. He continued his passion for crime scene investigation by teaching and training law enforcement agencies throughout the United States and Canada, retiring in 2016.
Dick married Susan Glassman on November 24, 1973 in Hays, Kansas. She survives, along with his daughters Melissa of Topeka and Beth of Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
Dick was cremated. Services will be private. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka at a later date.
