Rickey R. Nance, 45, of Topeka passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
He was born March 19, 1967 to James Nance, Sr. and Carolyn Nance.
For years he worked construction laying asphalt and worked on the side fixing cars. Later on before his illness he went to WTI Heating & Cooling programs graduated and earned his EPA Certification. Rickey also did yard work.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Nance Sr. and two sons Corey Nance and Andre` Douglas.
Rickey leaves to mourn his death, mother, Carolyn Nance, brother, James Nance, 2 sons, Tevin Nance, Nathaniel "Shae" Johnson, 3 daughters, Natayla Nance, Kendra Collins, Tatiana Kendricks and 5 grandchildren. Jermel Robbins, Cor`dae Nance, Corah Nance, Damya Calhoun, Eyiana Clark and a great host of family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and as per Rickey's wishes, no memorial services are planned. There will be a family gathering at Rickey's home on Friday, June 1 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
