Robert "Bob" Miles Brooker Jr., 72, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 23, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Robert and Lauraine (Simonsen) Brooker. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1969. He received an Ornamental Horticulture degree from Kaw Area Vocational Technical School.
Bob was employed by Heifner's Nursery for 34 years as a certified nurseryman. He was able to share his passion for horticulture with his repeat customers and Heifer family. He received the top salesman award on multiple occasions.
Bob enjoyed painting, landscaping, music, collecting, and bird watching. He was an avid Chiefs fan that loved watching Sunday night football with family. He appreciated every moment spent with his family and the memories made together.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lauraine (Simonsen) Brooker.
Survivors include sister, Jeanette (Gary) Cunningham of Topeka; nieces, Jessica (Jesse) Warren of Redding, CA, Cassie (Wayne Jones) Cunningham of Topeka, Breanna (Tyler Weishaar) Cunningham of Omaha, NE; great nephew, Colton Warren; great nieces, Dakota Warren and Julia Weishaar, and many cousins.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
