Robert E. "Bob" Brower, 71, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, October 20. 2007 at Midland Hospice.
Bob was born April 6, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ., the son of Ronald and Marion (MacKay) Brower.
He served in the Army National Guard in New York State, and later in the U.S. Air Force.
He was employed as a Captain with the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority Police and owned and operated his own businesses after retirement from M.T.A.A.
Bob married Margaret Stanley on December 12, 1955 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include sons; Robert S. Brower, and wife, Robin, Richard E. Brower; daughters, Cindy A. Leggitt, and husband, Steve, Laurie A. Ortiz and husband, Nicholas Ortiz, Jr. all of Topeka; grandchildren, Melissa Fitzpatrick, Garrett Brower, Richinda Brower, Stacey Cuevas, Isabella Ortiz, Gabriella Ortiz, Julianna Ortiz; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
