Robert C. "Bob" Mintdrop, 69, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009.

He was born December 15, 1939 in Stubenville, OH, the son of Robert Edward and Rachael (Rinker) Mintdrop. He grew up Weirton, WV and attended Potomac State College in Keizer, WV. He was employed by Western Electric/ AT&T/ Lucent for 36 years, retiring in 1999.

Robert married Peggy Bradshaw June 15, 1973 in Sedalia, MO. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert Mintdrop, Jr. of Winchester, VA; a daughter, Cindy Mintdrop of St. Louis, MO; three step-daughters, Linda Lombardo (Sam), Lori Burr (Steve), and Vicki Goulas (Earl) all of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Donna Israel of Copperas Cove, TX; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mintdrop will lie in state after 1 p.m., Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. The casket will be closed. A private family graveside service will be at the Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
