Robert "Bob" Dixon Colombo, 51, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare. Bob was born June 28, 1954 in Galveston, TX, the son of Jim and Dixie (Moore) Colombo. Bob was a longtime resident of Topeka. He attended Topeka High School, served in the Army, and was a former member of the Topeka Bowling Association. Bob married Mary Beth Saric on May 19, 1979. They were divorced. He was a loving father to his two children, Jason R and Nichole A. Colombo. They survive along with his two grandchildren, Kai and Alyana. Other Survivors include his mother, Dixie, grandmother, Otha Moore, Cypress TX, his sister, Sue (Bill) Saric , Grantville, his brothers: Jay Colombo, Concorde, NC and Tony (Dana) Colombo , Topeka; nieces, Casi (Frank) Galvan, Christopher, Mykaila, and Poncho, Jamie Wyatt and her children, Carlee Saric , A.J. Wyatt; and Amber Colombo of Virginia Beach VA; nephews, Jordan Colombo of VA, Cory Saric, Grantville, Michael and Ryan Colombo, both of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Colombo was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, with a private inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Robert "Bob" Colombo Memorial Fund, in care of Kansas Super Chief Credit Union, 2120 SW Belle, Topeka, KS 66614.
