Robert Dailey

Robert Dailey, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born September 27, 1934, in Topeka, Kansas at St. Francis Hospital, the son of Earl S. and Helen M. (Bartlett) Dailey. He was born into a large family and was always quite the jokester.

Robert attended Catholic school growing up and graduated from Hayden High School. He attended and graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas.

Robert enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, watching sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks. He was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion in Topeka as a youth. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping with his family. He was also a carpenter and built two homes from the ground up, while also remodeling numerous others.

Survivors include one son, Jamie Dailey of Littleton, Colorado, grandchildren Brooks, Bryson, and Brandt Dailey, and lifelong friend of 77 years, Clyde Hinkle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their extended families.

A private Celebration of Robert's Life will be held in the Spring 2023.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
