Robert E. Day, 92, of Wakarusa, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
He was born July 4, 1929, in Wamego, Kansas, the son of Paul A. and Pearl (Cooper) Day.
Bob was self-employed as a livestock dealer.
Bob married Larina Mae Rothmier on September 17, 1949 in Purcell, KS. She preceded him in death on May 20, 1991. Survivors include his children, Carol Dodds (L.D.) of Topeka, Brenda Toler of Topeka, Paul Day of Springfield, MO, Gail Litfin (John) of Topeka, Ed Day of Wakarusa, KS and Nancy Brosa (Darian) of Berryton, KS; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Diana Fisher of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and numerous siblings.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road in Topeka. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. The family will receive friends for an hour before the service at the Southwest Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Home is Where the Heart Is, 23220 N. 4th Street, Osage City, KS 66523 or to Elara Caring, 901 NE River Rd Suite 101, Topeka, KS 66616.
