Robert Milo Faulk, 58, Topeka, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Midland Hospice House.
Robert was born April 14, 1958 in Topeka, the son of Charley A. Faulk Jr. and Emma (Pat) Stiegemeyer. He attended Washburn Rural High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977-1981. He was a crew member aboard the aircraft carrier USS Independence, homeported in Norfolk, VA. While deployed in the Mediterranean Sea, his ship operated as a unit of the U.S. Sixth Fleet. During the 7 month cruise he participated in several training operations, including the major NATO exercises and "Dawn Patrol '77.
He was self-employed as a carpenter.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include daughters, Jessica (John) Stein, Topeka, Trisha Walker McCall, Little Rock, AR; brother, Greg (Heidi) Faulk, Sr., Carbondale; sisters, LaVonna Bacon, Topeka, Debby Boeh, Independence, MO; longtime companion, Patti Albin, Topeka; step-daughter, Shelly Hazard, Leavenworth; 4 grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charley A. Faulk III
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mount Hope Chapel one hour prior to the service.
