Robert Dean Hockenberry, 77, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.
He was born June 27, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Lawrence and Edith May (Davis) Hockenberry. He served in the army during the Vietnam War.
Robert married Judy Hockenberry. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2013. Survivors include his daughter, Devona Young (Glenn) of Topeka; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two nieces, Sue Craite and Ginger Hockenberry and their families; and his dog Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judy; his son Darren; and his brothers and sister.
Robert enjoyed life – he loved the ocean, the mountains, and laughing. Most importantly, he loved his family.
Robert was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604.
