Robert F. "Bob" Holt, 77, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born October 22, 1945 in Sabetha, Kansas, the son of Russell and Corrinne (Cordon) Holt.
Bob graduated from Topeka High School in 1963. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Kansas Gas Service Company for many years before retiring. Bob was involved in athletics, umpiring at SCABA and the SCGSA, and was a city high school referee.
Bob married Cheryl Hummer on June 29, 1969 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2015.
Survivors include children, Rance (Amy) Holt of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Regan (Bobby) Munoz of Topeka, two grandsons, Jaret and Layton, and his siblings, Alan Holt of Topeka, Jay Holt of Manhattan and Gale Holt of Moriarty, New Mexico.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Bob will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
