Robert E. Lynch

Robert E. "Bob" Lynch, 87, of Tecumseh, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 22, 1934 in Axtell, Kansas, the son of Emmett Patrick and Helen Frances (Forst) Lynch.

Bob graduated from Berryton Rural High School. He was a member of the Kansas Army National Guard from 1951 - 1962. He was a farmer on the family farm beginning at the age of 16 and was also employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 26 years before retiring in 1978 to farm full time. Additionally he was a Conklin Distributor from 1978 to the present. Bob served on the Board of Trustees for the Kaw Valley Electric Company from 1995 - 2016, the Shawnee County Conservation Board for six years and the Shawnee County Farm Bureau Board for several years. He was a 4-H Leader for many years and a member of the Stull United Methodist Church for 65 years.

Bob married Norma Lea Damm on April 22, 1956 at the Stull EUB Church. She survives. Other survivors include children, Sherry (Dale) Conrad of Bluffton, South Carolina, Rita (Ron Cloughly) Arni of Marshall, Missouri, Jeanne (Chad) Copeland of Wamego, Kansas, three grandchildren, Heidi, Ryan and Peyton and great-grandson, Ryker. Also surviving are his siblings, Lyla Allen of Livermore, California and Mary Ann Lynch of La Quinta, California and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Gary Dean Lynch and his siblings, Mildred Ihle, Patrick Lynch and Marita Lutz.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Stull Cemetery. Robert will lie in state from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave.
