Robert M. Bailey, Jr., 38, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at a Topeka hospital ER. He was born October 13, 1975 in Topeka, the son of Robert M. and Martha A. Akers Bailey, Sr.
Robert graduated Altha High School in Altha, Fl. He had resided in Topeka since 1993. He was employed by Pizza Hut and Subway.
Survivors include his father, Robert M. Bailey, Sr. of Topeka, his mother, Martha A. Hamlin of Topeka, one brother, Daniel A. Bailey of Ottawa, his half-sister, Ruth A. Bailey, and his half-brother, Michael A. Bailey.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place at a later date. Robert will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
