Robert Michael "Bob" Nielsen, 67, Topeka, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at a local hospital with his family by his side.
Bob was born January 29, 1945 in Topeka, the son of Harry M. and Mary Ann (Rhoades) Nielsen. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1963 and attended Washburn University.
He was employed in sales and management at local automobile dealerships, including Vic Yarrington and Jim Clark.
Bob married Pamela Jean Cooper on March 20, 1965 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Sherry (Randy) Nielsen-Davis, Sivi (Steve) Murray; grandchildren, Nick Davis, Parker Murray and Kelsey Murray, all of Topeka; and his faithful dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harry E. Nielsen.
Bob donated his organs and was cremated according to his wishes. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
