Robert Emmett Molander

Robert Emmett "Bob" Molander, 71, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was born on October 26, 1945 to Emmett and Orpha (Elliott) Molander at Salina, KS.
Bob graduated from Salina High School in 1963 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1967. He retired from the State of Kansas in 2000 and then worked for H & R Block in Topeka for ten years.
Bob was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church and Kansas State University Alumni Association.
Bob married Kathy Simpson on June 30, 1979 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle L. (Colin) Thomasset, Topeka and Megan (Brett) Denham, Plano, TX; a grandson, Carter and one expected.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Lowman United Methodist Church, 4110 SW 15th Street, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Bob will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kansas State University, Kansas State Foundation (Directed to the Kansas State University College of Business Administration) 1800 Kimball Ave., Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
