Robert O. Sipes

Robert O. Sipes, 86, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Plaza West Regional Health Center.
He was born September 25, 1931, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Oran and Lillian (Spaulding) Sipes.
Robert married Lillie Belle Trezise on December 15, 1974, in Carbondale, Kansas. She preceded him in death on April 3, 1997.
Robert was an avid OU Sooner fan, enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics, gardening, and Jazzercize. He loved meeting his friends and family at Specks and playing piano. Robert owned and operated his own roofing business, until retiring in 2007.
Survivors include son, Gary Sipes; step-daughters, Claudine Tevis, Brenda Gomez, and Mary Hipsher; and sister, Barbara Sipes.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Sipes; and step-son, Robert Holmes.
Robert was cremated and private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Meals on Wheels. Interment of the cremated remains will be in Topeka Cemetery.
